These pinwheel roll ups combine creamy ham and tangy dill pickles in a soft tortilla for a quick, easy, and crowd-pleasing snack perfect for parties and casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Soft flour tortillas (8-inch size)
  • Thinly sliced deli ham (about 3-4 slices or 3 ounces per roll)
  • 8 ounces softened cream cheese (full-fat preferred)
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped dill pickles
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chopped dill (optional)
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Optional: finely chopped green onions or a sprinkle of paprika

Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine 8 ounces of softened cream cheese, 2 tablespoons mayonnaise, and 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard. Stir until smooth and creamy.
  2. Stir in 1/4 cup finely chopped dill pickles and 1 tablespoon fresh chopped dill (if using). Season with freshly ground black pepper to taste and mix well.
  3. Place one 8-inch flour tortilla flat on a work surface. Spread a thin, even layer of the creamy filling over the entire tortilla, leaving a small border around the edges.
  4. Layer about 3-4 slices (approximately 3 ounces) of thinly sliced deli ham evenly over the filling.
  5. Starting at one edge, roll the tortilla up tightly into a log shape, keeping the roll snug but not squeezing out the filling.
  6. Wrap the roll tightly in plastic wrap or parchment paper and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes to firm up.
  7. Unwrap and use a sharp knife to cut the roll into 1-inch thick slices. Arrange on a serving platter with the spiral pattern facing up.
  8. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.

Notes

Let cream cheese soften for about 30 minutes before mixing for easier spreading. Warm tortillas slightly in the microwave wrapped in a damp paper towel for 10 seconds if they feel stiff. Chill the rolled tortillas before slicing for cleaner cuts. Dip knife in warm water and dry between cuts for smooth slicing. Optional additions include green onions, paprika, or swapping proteins like turkey or chicken.
