Refreshing Pink Salt Morning Tonic Recipe With Lemon and Honey

A simple and nourishing morning tonic combining fresh lemon juice, raw honey, pink Himalayan salt, and warm water to gently boost hydration and energy without caffeine.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) raw honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1.25 ml) pink Himalayan salt
  • 1 cup (240 ml) warm water
  • Optional: a few fresh mint leaves or a thin slice of ginger

Instructions

  1. Warm 1 cup (240 ml) of water until comfortably warm to the touch (about 110°F / 43°C).
  2. Juice 1 medium lemon to get approximately 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of fresh lemon juice. Strain if desired.
  3. Pour the warm water into a glass or mug.
  4. Add the fresh lemon juice to the warm water.
  5. Stir in 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of raw honey until fully dissolved.
  6. Add 1/4 teaspoon (1.25 ml) of pink Himalayan salt and stir until completely dissolved.
  7. Optional: add a few fresh mint leaves or a thin slice of ginger and let steep for 1-2 minutes.
  8. Give a final stir and sip slowly to enjoy.

Notes

Use warm water, not hot, to preserve honey’s enzymes. Stir thoroughly to dissolve honey and salt fully. Fresh lemon juice is preferred over bottled. Can be chilled and served over ice for a summer version. Store in a sealed glass bottle in the fridge up to 2 days and reheat gently before drinking.
