A quick and refreshing summer drink made with fresh watermelon, lime juice, water, and a touch of sweetener. Perfect for hot days and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups seedless watermelon, chopped
  • Juice of 12 fresh limes (about 2 tablespoons)
  • 2 cups water
  • 12 tablespoons honey, agave, or simple syrup (optional)
  • Ice cubes, as needed
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cut about 4 cups (600 grams) of seedless watermelon into cubes, removing any seeds if present.
  2. Add the watermelon cubes to a blender. Pulse a few times, then blend on high for about 30 seconds until smooth.
  3. Pour the blended watermelon through a fine mesh strainer into a large bowl or pitcher, pressing pulp to extract juice. Discard pulp.
  4. Stir in the juice of 1 to 2 fresh limes (about 2 tablespoons). Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of honey, agave, or simple syrup, adjusting sweetness to taste. Mix well.
  5. Pour in 2 cups of cold water and stir to combine evenly.
  6. Add ice cubes to the pitcher or individual glasses. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use ripe watermelon for best sweetness. Adjust lime and sweetener to taste. Straining is optional but recommended for a smooth texture. Chill before serving or serve over ice. Avoid freezing leftovers to maintain flavor and texture.
