A simple and comforting slow cooker recipe featuring tender meatballs coated in a sticky, sweet, and savory honey garlic glaze made with just four ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 24 oz (680 g) frozen pre-cooked meatballs (beef, chicken, or turkey)
  • 1/3 cup (113 g) honey
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) low-sodium soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced (about 1 tbsp or 15 ml)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic until well combined.
  2. Place frozen meatballs evenly in the bottom of the crockpot; no need to thaw.
  3. Pour the honey garlic glaze over the meatballs and gently toss with a silicone spatula or spoon to coat evenly.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours (or on high for 2 hours for a quicker option).
  5. If desired, mix 1 teaspoon cornstarch with 1 tablespoon cold water and stir into the crockpot; cook uncovered on high for 15-20 minutes to thicken the sauce.
  6. Gently stir the meatballs before serving to redistribute the sauce.

Notes

Use fresh minced garlic for best flavor. Avoid over-stirring to keep meatballs intact. For thicker sauce, add cornstarch slurry near the end. Can use store-bought frozen or homemade meatballs. Reserve some honey to drizzle before serving for extra sweetness.
