  • 2 cans (about 16 ounces / 450 grams) refrigerated biscuit dough (Pillsbury buttermilk biscuits recommended)
  • 1/2 cup (113 grams) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup (200 grams) granulated sugar, divided
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup (50 grams) brown sugar (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease your bundt pan generously with butter or non-stick spray.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine 3/4 cup (150 grams) granulated sugar with 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon and a pinch of salt. Mix well.
  3. Open the biscuit cans and separate the dough into individual biscuits. Cut each biscuit into quarters.
  4. Dip each dough piece into the melted butter, then toss it in the cinnamon sugar mixture until well coated. Place each coated piece into the bundt pan, layering as you go.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup (50 grams) brown sugar over the layered dough pieces. Optionally, drizzle a teaspoon of vanilla extract over the top.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and firm to the touch. A toothpick inserted should come out clean with some sticky bits.
  7. Let the rolls rest in the pan for 10 minutes, then invert onto a plate or serving tray. Gently loosen any stuck pieces with a knife.

Notes

If dough is too sticky to coat, chill in the fridge for 10 minutes before rolling. Grease the pan well to prevent sticking. Do not overcrowd the pan to allow rolls to expand and pull apart easily. Use fresh cinnamon for best flavor. Let rolls rest before inverting to help them hold shape.
