These bacon wrapped green bean bundles with a sticky brown sugar glaze are a quick, easy, and crowd-pleasing side dish perfect for holiday dinners or any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed and washed
  • 12 slices thin-cut bacon
  • 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Trim the ends off the green beans, wash thoroughly, and pat dry completely.
  3. Group about 8-10 green beans per bundle and wrap each bundle tightly with one slice of bacon, securing the ends underneath.
  4. Place bundles on a lined rimmed baking sheet, leaving space between each bundle.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together brown sugar, melted butter, garlic powder, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes until smooth.
  6. Brush the glaze generously over each bundle.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping the bundles halfway through and brushing again with glaze. The bacon should be crisp and caramelized, and the beans tender but still snap.
  8. Remove from oven and let rest for a few minutes to set the glaze.
  9. Serve warm.

Notes

Use thin-cut bacon for easier wrapping and crispier texture. Dry green beans thoroughly to avoid soggy bacon. Apply glaze twice for a sticky, caramelized finish. You can prep bundles the night before and bake fresh. For a leaner option, use turkey bacon but expect less crispiness. Frozen green beans can be used if thawed and dried well.
