  • 1 pound ground beef (lean or extra-lean)
  • 45 garlic cloves, minced
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Rice or mashed potatoes (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Peel and mince 4-5 garlic cloves. Grate your cheese and set it aside. Prepare rice or mashed potatoes if serving.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a wooden spoon, for about 5-7 minutes or until browned. Drain any excess grease and set the beef aside.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add 4 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sautΓ© for 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently, until fragrant.
  4. Stir in 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce, and 1/2 teaspoon of Italian seasoning. Cook for another minute to let the flavors combine.
  5. Return the cooked ground beef to the skillet and stir well to coat it in the garlic butter sauce. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheese evenly over the beef mixture. Cover with a lid and let it melt for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Spoon the beefy garlic butter mixture over a bed of rice or mashed potatoes, or enjoy it on its own. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
