  • 1 yellow onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, freshly minced
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 package refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon of butter and melt it. Add diced onion and cook for 3-4 minutes until softened.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Add ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up with a wooden spoon. Season with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook for 7-8 minutes until browned and fully cooked.
  5. Remove skillet from heat and stir in shredded cheddar cheese and chopped parsley until cheese is melted and evenly distributed.
  6. Roll out crescent dough and separate into individual triangles. Place about 1 tablespoon of beef mixture onto the wider end of each triangle.
  7. Roll each triangle from the wide end toward the narrow tip, tucking in the sides to secure the filling.
  8. Place rollups seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  9. Whisk together egg and water to create an egg wash. Use a pastry brush to coat each rollup.
  10. Melt the remaining butter and drizzle over the rollups. Sprinkle with garlic powder or parsley if desired.
  11. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  12. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
