A lively and crowd-pleasing margarita punch bowl featuring tequila, fresh citrus juices, jalapeño spice, and a signature Tajin rim for a perfect balance of heat, tang, and sweetness.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (475 ml) Tequila Blanco (silver tequila like Espolòn preferred)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) Triple Sec or Orange Liqueur
  • 1 cup (240 ml) Fresh Lime Juice (about 8 limes)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) Fresh Orange Juice (about 23 oranges)
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) Agave Syrup
  • 1 large Jalapeño, sliced thinly (seeds optional for heat control)
  • 2 cups (475 ml) Club Soda or Sparkling Water
  • Tajin Seasoning (for rimming glasses)
  • Ice Cubes
  • Garnishes: Lime wedges, orange slices, extra jalapeño slices

Instructions

  1. Pour Tajin seasoning onto a small plate. Rub rims of glasses with a lime wedge, then dip rims into Tajin to coat evenly. Set aside.
  2. Squeeze fresh limes and oranges to get 1 cup each of lime and orange juice.
  3. Slice the jalapeño into thin slices, removing seeds if desired to reduce heat.
  4. In a large punch bowl, combine tequila, triple sec, fresh lime juice, fresh orange juice, and agave syrup. Stir gently to blend.
  5. Add jalapeño slices to the mixture and let sit for 5-10 minutes to infuse flavor.
  6. Fill the punch bowl with plenty of ice cubes, then pour in club soda or sparkling water. Stir lightly to mix without losing fizz.
  7. Float lime wedges, orange slices, and extra jalapeño slices on top for garnish.
  8. Ladle the punch into the Tajin-rimmed glasses and serve.

Notes

Let jalapeño slices infuse for at least 5 minutes to soften the spice and blend flavors. Keep ice separate until serving to avoid dilution. For less heat, remove jalapeño seeds or use fewer slices. Use fresh citrus juice for best flavor. If Tajin is unavailable, substitute with a mix of chili powder, lime zest, and salt.
