A quick and easy grilled pineapple recipe featuring a warm cinnamon honey drizzle that caramelizes beautifully, perfect for summer desserts or snacks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 medium fresh pineapple, peeled, cored, and cut into 1/2-inch thick slices
  • 1/4 cup (about 85g) honey (wildflower or clover honey recommended)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter or coconut oil (optional, for brushing)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon or lime juice
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Peel, core, and slice the pineapple into 1/2-inch thick rounds.
  2. In a small bowl, combine honey, ground cinnamon, fresh lemon or lime juice, and a pinch of salt. Stir well to blend.
  3. Heat grill to medium-high (around 375°F or 190°C). Brush grill grates with melted butter or coconut oil to prevent sticking.
  4. Place pineapple slices on the grill. Cook for 3–4 minutes per side, brushing generously with the cinnamon honey drizzle as they cook until caramelized and golden.
  5. Transfer grilled pineapple to a serving plate and drizzle any leftover cinnamon honey over the top. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

Watch for flare-ups due to honey’s sugar content; move pineapple slices if needed. Brush grill grates with oil or butter to prevent sticking. Let pineapple rest a couple of minutes after grilling for juicier bites. Drizzle can be prepared ahead and stored in fridge.
