A festive and easy-to-make holiday appetizer featuring a buttery crescent roll wreath filled with a creamy herb dip and surrounded by fresh, colorful veggies.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh dill or parsley (optional)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • About 4 cups assorted fresh veggies, washed and cut into bite-sized pieces, such as:
  • – Baby carrots
  • – Cherry tomatoes
  • – Broccoli florets
  • – Cauliflower florets
  • – Cucumber slices
  • – Red and yellow bell pepper strips
  • – Snap peas or green beans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Unroll the crescent rolls on a clean surface. Pinch the perforations to seal them and form one large rectangle about 10×14 inches (25×35 cm). Transfer to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Cut the dough into 1-inch (2.5 cm) wide strips along the longer side. Twist each strip gently 2-3 times and arrange the twisted strips in a circle on the baking sheet, overlapping ends to form a wreath shape. Press ends to seal.
  4. Bake the wreath for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and puffed. Watch carefully to avoid burning.
  5. While the wreath bakes, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, lemon juice, and fresh herbs in a mixing bowl. Stir until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Let the baked wreath cool for about 10 minutes.
  7. Spoon the cream cheese dip into the center hollow of the wreath and spread evenly.
  8. Arrange the chopped veggies artistically around the dip, alternating colors and shapes for a festive look.

Notes

Press crescent roll seams firmly to prevent the wreath from falling apart. Let the wreath cool before adding the dip to keep it thick. Use fresh, crunchy veggies for best texture. The dip can be made a day ahead to deepen flavors. Reheat leftover wreath in a 350°F oven for 5-7 minutes to restore flakiness.
