A creamy, spicy, and smoky dip featuring roasted jalapeños, cream cheese, cheddar, and a crispy bacon and breadcrumb topping. Perfect for parties or a comforting snack.

  • Fresh jalapeños, seeded and finely chopped
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 6 slices cooked bacon, crisped and chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • ¼ cup panko breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Chop bacon into bite-sized pieces and crisp in a skillet over medium heat for 6-8 minutes. Drain on paper towels and set aside.
  3. Slice jalapeños in half, remove seeds, and finely chop. Optionally roast jalapeños in the oven for 5 minutes before chopping to mellow flavor.
  4. In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, and sour cream. Beat until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Stir in shredded cheddar, Parmesan (if using), garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until fully combined.
  6. Fold in chopped jalapeños gently to keep some texture.
  7. Spread mixture evenly in an 8×8-inch baking dish.
  8. Sprinkle crispy bacon pieces over the dip, then evenly scatter panko breadcrumbs on top.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the top is golden brown and bubbling.
  10. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Remove jalapeño seeds to reduce heat. Roast jalapeños before chopping for milder flavor. Use panko breadcrumbs for a crispy topping. Cover with foil if topping browns too fast. For dairy-free, use vegan cream cheese and sour cream. For gluten-free, use gluten-free breadcrumbs or crushed pork rinds.
