Creamy Steak Bites and Shell Pasta Recipe in 30 Minutes

Tender steak bites seared to perfection, nestled in a creamy Alfredo sauce that coats shell-shaped pasta. A quick and easy weeknight dinner that feels like a decadent treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 12 ounces medium shell-shaped pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add shell pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  2. Cut steak into bite-sized pieces and season with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning (if using).
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Once shimmering, add seasoned steak bites in a single layer. Sear for 3-4 minutes per side until browned and cooked to preferred doneness. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  4. Reduce skillet heat to medium and add 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and sautΓ© for 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and stir to combine.
  5. Gradually whisk in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and fully incorporated. Add a splash of reserved pasta water if the sauce is too thick.
  6. Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss in the sauce until well-coated. Add steak bites back into the pan and gently mix to combine.
  7. Plate the creamy steak bites and shell pasta, garnishing with extra Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley if desired.
