  • 1/2 pound Italian sausage
  • 1 medium onion, finely diced

  • 2 cups marinara sauce

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large oven-safe skillet, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant and slightly softened.
  4. Add the ground beef and Italian sausage. Cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned—about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess grease.
  5. Stir in the marinara sauce, crushed tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for 5 minutes for the flavors to meld.
  6. Break the lasagna noodles into bite-sized pieces and stir them into the skillet, ensuring they’re coated with the sauce.
  7. Lower the heat and cover the skillet. Allow the noodles to cook in the sauce for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender. Add a splash of water if the sauce thickens too much.
  8. Once the noodles are cooked, dollop the ricotta cheese over the top. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated parmesan evenly across the skillet.
  9. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Bake uncovered for 10 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  10. Remove from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
